====== Reviewing AI content ======

A number of pages were automatically generated by the Laelith Scribe AI by combining the Laelith corpus and the cadastre metadata. As always with AI content, it needs to be reviewed and validated because sometimes the AI goes completely off-tracks.

Since the Laelith corpus was originally written in French, these pages were generated in French by Laelith Scribe, then translated to English by the Laelith Translator AI. So the process is:

  - Review and validate the French version of a page
  - Switch to its English version, review and validate it

In other words, the French version should be processed first, then comes the English version.

Here is an example. Suppose we just generated a number of pages in The Mages Peaks area. The [[fr:reviews|French Reviews page]] shows the list of all pages that need to be reviewed:

You will notice that the [[en:reviews|English version of the Reviews page]] is empty. We’ll explain why in a moment:

Back to the French review page, clicking on a page link takes you to it. You will notice the validation button at the bottom. If you like the content, just click on the button. That’s it:

Reload the French review page, the page is gone from the list:

Let’s now go to the [[en:reviews|English review page]].

The page now appears there! Why? You have to keep in mind that the English version is a translation of the French-generated version. So it would be a problem to validate the English version before the French one, especially if some corrections are to occur in the French text!

So let’s proceed with the validation of the English page:

Now suppose that some corrections were applied on another French page by the reviewer:

The English review page will look a bit different. The Wiki detected that the French version was manually edited. The automated English translation is now out-of-sync. Therefore the page now appears in the “Pages to be re-translated” section:

Go to the page. Instead of the validation button, you have a warning message at the bottom that explains what you should do:

The procedure is simple. Edit the page, remove the text and use the Auto-translate button. Or write the translation yourself if you feel like it:

Generally speaking, if you are familiar with both French and English, the easiest and fastest way to work is to open a French page, validate (or edit) it, then switch immediately to its English version by using the language switch at the top-right corner of the page, and validate (or edit) the English page. No need to go back to the English reviews list.
